Gabriel Oladipo
Kim
A swan dive
In the shallow
End of some
Stranger’s new pool?
This is sort of like that.
Your voice.
How you were
Popular in high school.
How my lips
Twitch when I
See you like
Some caught fox.
A deer in a lake.
A young flying bird.
If I could be more specific
I wouldn’t be doing this.
I’d be sleeping
And content to sleep
Near a horizon
Of my own making.
Gabriel Oladipo currently lives in Tucson, AZ, where he studies English and Creative Writing at the University of Arizona. His poetry has appeared in Blue Stoat and Soundings East and is forthcoming in Bad Pony Magazine.
